March toward democracy

We are on the road to effective democracy; it may take generations yet before we get there. Meanwhile, the nation needs effective governing and governance by legit government. Once we were ruled by revered absolute monarchs some of whom proved to be effective, wise and just. Obviously, we wish to see such effectiveness, wisdom and justice in our people's representatives and in those who govern us. Don't fail us.

We note that while we forge ahead doggedly toward the coveted day of democratic consummation, the power of governing and of governance, as it stands, is effectively concentrated in the hands of a few unduly privileged party leaders, which is not too unlike the case of single-party communistic system. We need to move on away from it and speedily toward that day.
