Maybe the better way to motivate and facilitate one's protege to success -- and to accelerate it -- is to put the protege on a life-size real-life catalytic challenges. Yeah, minimise the condescending pep talks; they're uninspiring if not also down-right boring. Let the protege discover life's beauties -- mysteries and all -- the way it is meant to be.
Overly concerned moms and dads, please step back, let the children run their own races -- their way; you had your chance.
